Using instructions from http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-2200, specifically…. “make menuconfig’ I get the error… “make: *** No rule to make target `menuconfig’. Stop.”
Any ideas why I might be getting this. Thanks
Nope this is working pretty smoothy for everyone else, make sure you’re in the saa7164-stable directory at this point … and you’ll need any associated compiler tools installed etc.
Hi, I have tested the driver and it seems to work OK… however, being digital only it is of very limited used to me since my cable provider (Videotron, QC, Canada) has only advertisement on ClearQAM and ATSC is comming to Canada only in 2011… this been said, the question: Is there any work being done on the analog tuners? Is it reasonable to expect such a driver in the near future? Thanks!
I’m in the same boat as Kaf….. Rogers Cable in Canada encrypts all stations over cable, so I’ve had to go the HD-PVR route for HD. I’ve been keeping an eye on this board, hoping that eventually the analog would be supported under Linux, and I could use it for SD over SVideo, and eventually ATSC.
