ATSC signal strength patches

I’ve decided to post some patches that attempt to bring some consistency across the atsc demodulator drivers in the signal strength reporting mechanism. Signal strength is calculated as a percentage from SNR up to 35 dB. As indicated in the comments inside the drivers, “Even though the SNR can go higher than 35dB, there is some comfort factor in having a range of strong signals that can show at 100%”

WinTV MiniStick DVB-T tuning support restored

The Hauppauge WinTV MiniStick, among other Hauppauge products that are supported by the sms1xxx driver, have all been broken in the 2.6.31-rc kernels and the v4l-dvb development repository for some time as a result of incorrect gpio programming by another developer. I have a patch pending to restore this functionality. Hopefully this will be merged before the next kernel is released.

HVR1110r3 DVB-T support ready for testing

I have already brought up analog on these boards, but I held back DVB-T support due to an i2c issue that I encountered when trying to communicate with the TDA10048 DVB-T demod. For details about the i2c issue, see my previous post in the saa713x category, entitled, “SAA713X testers wanted”. You can get your board up and running by using the following repository:
